V40s Brake Problem

Hello,

I'm new to this but have a quick question about my brakes.

I have just bought a Volve V40s 2002 1.8 and have a braking issue. I apply the brakes and the car starts slows, as I start to come to a halt my drivers side front brake makes a juddering noise. I've also noticed that the car is slightly pulling to one side, I'm taking it to the garage next week but could do with any ideas of what the issue is. I've been told that its potentially a cracked ABS ring? I have no warning lights coming on and the brakes do work.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Many thanks
