repair manual/PDF

Hey guys,

I've found a few PDF's that look like they are direct from Volvo describing certain repairs. Is there a central place to download these? Or purchase? They were pretty handy on the jobs I've done and would like to know how to get a hold of them. I googled the topic but mostly got places to buy parts. On the same topic I've seen, can't remember where, a Volvo service manual for sale. The add mentioned something about being the book that Volvo mechanics use to guide them through just about any repair for a specific model. Is this real or a sales job.

I think the majority of the .pdfs will be taken from Volvo Aftersales Diagnostics and Information System (VADIS). This was used by Volvo dealers up to 2006 when it was replaced by their current system, VIDA. The discs are sold on eBay at a reasonable price, usually more reasonable on the UK site, and do cover a lot of repairs for Volvo cars from the 940 on.
