ball joint/ transmission

the ball joint ripped out which made the axel disengage from the transmission .. after replacing the ball joint everything seemed okay and then we moved the car and after putting it back in park the car kept rolling.. any suggestions?

Have you driven the car ?
If the axle pulled out while driving its possible the splines the axle mate with were damaged.
Did you inspect them before putting the axle back in

i tried to inspect however we were losing day light.. but yes i did drive the car about 3 feet
