2008 XC90 redesign

looking for a used xc90. heard there was a lot of redesign in from 07 to 08. I take them with a little grain of salt but consumer reports shows much higher reliability marks for the 08 and newer. anyone that can elaborate on this?

the mid-cycle re-do was for 2007. 2007 brought the intro of the 3.2 I-6 and the elimination of the turbo 6 using the GM gearbox.
2007 had some initial software resolved problems and some of the new engines had some oil leaks due to wrong installation of seals at engine plant. No really good reason to get a 2008 over a 2007 now.
