2004 S40 Turbo replacement instructions

I have a 2004 S40 (first half of the year, not 2004.5) that has a host of issues which a mechanic has diagnosed as a bad turbo. I would like to remove the turbo myself, but cannot find any good instructions here, or in the usual manuals, maybe I missed them. Can someone please point me towards a set of instructions for removal of the turbo?

I'm looking for some help (advice) on removal of the turbo on my 850-R (97). Looks pretty obvious except for the piping (special tools? Flare socket/wrenches?). Assume the heat shield comes first and then go from the bottom and remove exhausr connections, top connections (air)? Should I soak the manifold fasteners first? Wirh a penetrant?
