Hello all, I am new to the forum and Volvos. I am sure 3rd row questions pop up here very often, but I did not see any threads about this questions.
After some reading, it looks like you can install the 2001+ third row seats in a pre 2001 v70. Has anyone tried it the other way and install an older seat in a 2001+ car?
None of my junk yards have a correct year car I can pull from, but I found a 2000 one.
What modifications are required to get the 2001 into a 2000 cars?
Thanks for any Help.
2000 or earlier third row in a 2001?

NO
and none and you can't retrofit a newer one into a 90-2000, where in the world did you read that?
They're not even close in style and fitment
Seriously, why would you think a seat from an entirely different body style and chassis would remotely work?

Wow. I don't know you, but I do have an observation. A new guy comes here to ask a question, and you jump on him like he's an idiot. Good way to promote the site, and Volvo owners in general.JRL wrote:NO

You were seemingly ready to buy it so I tried to make it clear to not do that.
Again, I'm really curious where you read that one could work, it is a completely different chassis and unibody
Do some searching on Ebay or try http://www.erievovo.com for a used one
They may or may not have one right now, if not, they will put you on a list
