What does InHg vs PSI Boost mean?

What does InHg vs PSI Boost mean?

I have a 98 S70 T5-M and my VDO Boost gauge read between 18-20 InHG while idling. It does reach into the psi when acceleration. Not sure what this means. Please advise, Thanks.
