Server email problems... what I'm doing to fix it

Post by matthew1 »

What am I doing to fix it? Well, nothing right now. It's 11pm and I can hardly keep my eyes open ;-).

I'll be all over it tomorrow however.

For those wondering what I'm talking about, the MVS server has had trouble sending emails out (Welcome emails, new post notifications, password changes, etc.) for a few days.

I just now activated all new accounts going back to April 6th. If you're waiting for the Welcome email with the activation link, don't worry about it, your account is now active. Simply log in.

If you need to change your password, just email me your username, and email me from the email account you registered with here at MVS.

If you're waiting for topic notifications to return, keep following this topic and I'll let you know when those are functional again.

SORRY for this. It's a side-effect of moving to a stronger/powerful email system (Google Apps). I'll get us back on track pronto.

Almost forgot, you can email me via the Contact page -- which is not affected by this problem -- or just send it to funtent[at]gmail[dot]com.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!
