Hi all. Starting a new topic now that we've narrowed down the problem to the fuel pump.
We're replacing this pump through the hole that is in the back of the c70 trunk.
Unbolted and removed plate. Finally got the black ring off (hammer flat head counter clockwise until it loosens up some..not easy at all). Got the pump undone and ready to remove BUT...
the red/black electrical wiring piece winds into a panel of electrical units that you can see through a 5" opening in the back of the trunk...it connects to a piece that is not visible because it's behind another part. We've just NOT been able to get this electrical piece unplugged due to its positioning and our inability to see it. Anybody have tips or experience with this?

remove back seat bottom cushion by pulling up on center of each cushion segment at center and then slide it forward once both sides unlatched.
Remove bolts at bottom of the backrest cushion and then depress latch below each headrest. The latch is approx 4 inches down. It will allow the headrest to pulled out.
Once headrests are out the backrest cushion can be lifted straight up.
Now remove the speaker behind left rear passenger area and you'll see the connector and it also will make the access to fuel pump port easier.

thanks!!
Well, fuel pump is replaced. car won't start.
We measured the fuel pressure and while it was 150 with the old pump, it's now 225 with the new one. (fuel pressure when key is in position 2.) but the car won't start.
Any ideas?
