Might buy a 2000 V70 - need info

Hi. I am looking at buying a 2000 V70 for $4700 with 107000 miles. Are the 2000 V70 rated well or were there issues with that model year? Any help you can give me I will appeciate. Are they reliable for will I be putting lots of money into it?

that's quite pricey for a 2000. Keep looking you can do better.

Do a search on ETM failures.

That's not pricey at all

Older used car are going UP and UP and 107K is considered LOW miles

If it's not a GLT it has the 5 speed automatic, the FIRST year for this tranny and is known to have issues at these miles
If it drives and shifts smoothly WITH NO CLUNKS you should be OK, but drive it for at least a half hour to warm everything up fully

Agreed on the low miles/price combo - as long as it's clean and well maintained, it's probably a fair price.

Are service records available?

I can't comment on the tyranny issues, but I'll bow to JRL's knowledge every time.
