In replacing the alternator in our 94 850 NA, I dumped about a pint of coolant in removing the upper radiator hose. I filled the resevoir up to normal, but do I now need to burp or bleed the cooling system?
After the alternator replacement, the car started poorly, and the temp gauge pegs high immediately, and the CEL came on. The car was obviously stone cold. I'm hoping it was just the CTS connector getting wet from the coolant dump. Any ideas on this?

Usually there is no need for anything special if you lose a quart of coolant. Fill reservoir and then check it again later after drive in case more air was displaced.
Spilled coolant should have upset the coolant temp sensor. I suspect it got unplugged or the wire broken in the process.
