01 V70 SUNROOF

The sunroof on my V70 pops almost like the glass is breaking. I've noticed when driving the wind across the top of the car has a tendancy to lift the glass a bit when it is closed and causes the popping. I've added a wind deflector but that seemed to make it a little worse. I just wondered if there are any roof experts out there. thanks

The first thing to inspect is the rails that are glued to glass crossways at front and back. Those get loose and make popping noise. The accordioned pieces are removed at each side to reveal the two screws that hold glass to frame and are the height adjusters. You can epoxy the rails back to glass.
If those are tight then you may have worn parts in the mechanism.
