2007 XC90 defrost vent cover removal - Help Pls

Can anyone provide me with instructions on how to remove the screened vent cover (top center dash)? Anything would help. It rattles something terrible and I would like to explore the cause. I'm told that this cover is actually glued to the dash and cannot be removed. Is this true? :cry:
