Cold/Damp Weather Trouble - Rough - No torq

1998 V70 AWD -
Codes for random misfires.
New wire harness and New Distributor/cap - problems started before new items.

Idles very poorly.
Smells terrible.
Sometimes will die and cant be restarted for about 5 minutes.
Once it gets going for a while it may run like a champ.
Sometimes it is very inconsistent in trying to go uphill or accelerate. It can be very sluggish or die.
Sometimes trying to go forward kills the engine.

But, it runs great in warm and dry weather.

Cleaned the mass air sensor. Thinking of replacing it.
