Battery drain every 2 weeks S40 2005
Hi I being having a problem with my battery life. I replaced my battery with non Volvo battery. My CD Player is reading deck error. every couple of weeks my car needs a jump start. Could the CD player be draining the battery?

no one can tell you that.
The cd player is a module on the network and if the failure making the cd error message means the module is not powering down whne ignition is off then that could be it. But there are lots of things that could be consuming power in error with key off and killing battery.

Don't worry about the battery being non-Volvo. Some parts should be Volvo ("OEM"), some it doesn't matter. Batteries don't matter.
At night look for lights that are on, inside and outside. Listen for sounds, whirring, buzzing, etc. Especially look for the glove box light. This happens all the time with 850 models. If it keeps happening, post back to this topic and well go into more detail.
