2000 Volvo S80 outside temp gauge stopped working

2000 Volvo S80 outside temp gauge stopped working

I changed my side view mirror on my passenger door and the outside temp display on my dash stopped working. I would appreciate any feedback on how to trouble shoot this problem. Thanks
