Temperature Sensor in drivers side miror

Post by Susan »

The dashboard display for ambient temperature does not work in my 2006 S40. After checking forums I seem to need a new senor or at the least to check for corrosion of the old one. Can anyone tell me how to disassemble the part under the mirror or if I need a certified mechanic to do this job?
P.S. Last week my seat belt was stuck in its place. Is this a related problem in the electronic system?
Thanks,
Susan

The temp sensor issue is well known to volvo techs. The connector at door to body harness needs to be repaired or replaced. The pins corrode.
The seatbelt would be unrelated
