Folks, I am unsure how to access the side-marker lights in the front bumper assembly to replace the "position light". These are the small, rectangular, flat lights - not the ones which work in concert with the turn signals. At any rate, short of removing the wheel-well skirt, I can't figure out how to get in there to replace the bulb.
Can someone detail how to access these? There are no visible "pops" or "release points" that I can see, and the light itself is part of the trim that runs 'round the car. I don't want to pay an hour's labor to replace a bulb, but neither to I want to bugger this car (it's still cherry at nearly 100K, to all appearances).
Thanks in advance.

the lens will pop out from one side.
Push the lamp unit forward, then pry it out of the fender using either your fingers, or a small piece of plastic or wood (to avoid scratching the paint). I used a small flat blade screwdriver to gently pry it out from the right side (closest to the wheel). There are no screws that hold it in.
Once it's out, turn the bulb holder counterclockwise to pull out the socket.
Our USDM versions use the 3W W2, 1x9,5d wedge bulb.

Eli:
Thanks a million for the procedure to remove/access the position light. To their credit, the dealer offered to do this when I dropped it off for my state's inspection (they saw the message on the dash) and did so at no charge.
Now, I know how. Many thanks!

The book says to open the door halfway, then reach up into the fender and push the light out from the inside. This would prevent possible paint damage caused from prying from the outside.

As the manual says - open the door half way and push it out. Just be very careful, and try to pinch the plastic prongs in prior to pushing this out. As any plastic ages, it gets brittle. I forgot this little part when pushing mine out and snapped off one of the holders.
