worried about FCP groton

Post by div4scpro »

I have been ordering from FCP Groton for my three old Volvos for about 8 years now and have always had great service. Recently I have gone to their site for parts and am going crazy. The redesign to their website has lost me. Where before if I drilled down to Volvo, 850, and the 1997 I was only looking at parts for that make and model unless they fit other models as well. Now when I drill down the same way it can't seem to find a fraction of the parts for my application and then when searching by keyword in that drill down I gets parts for every Saab and VW that has even one word in common. I don't know who thought this redesign was a change for the better but please go back to the old design. I have happily spent thousands of dollars at FCP and can't believe that I'll have to go somewhere else because I can't find the part I know you carry. PLEASE fix it guys!

http://www.fcpgroton.com/ - Still has the old interface
http://www.fcpeuro.com/ and http://www.fcpimport.com/ - Set up your car in your "Garage the it works in a similar way to previously but you don't need to drill down each visit, just pick your car.

I would hope that would keep the old site around for a good chunk of time so people can transition.

Hello DIV4SCPRO,

I am sorry that the site is so hard to navigate. Are you going to the new FCPImport.com site or the old FCPGroton.com site.

Why a "European" Parts group and an "Import" group ? Maybe Asian and Euro? Or???

Just to give you a heads up, the old FCP Groton site is not going anywhere, it will still be available to place orders. The new sites are "new" and still in development. We will be continuously updating them but they do have more parts than the old FCP Groton and every customer we have spoken to has a much easier time navigating the new websites. They are also providing us a lot of great feedback so we can continuously make improvements. Feel free to let us know if there are any other specific things that you think can be improved, we encourage all feedback.
