It's time to replace my moms 02 explorer and her fondness over my t5 s70 has grown enough that she wants to now buy into the Volvo brand.

I've found a Black on Black t6 with the 2.9L engine that i went and checked out today.

It has 115,000 miles on it and from what i can tell everything looked and felt pretty sound. Not sure about the service records.

all of the suspension bushings are still solid the ride feels good and the transmission in D as well as the manual shifter seems to work beautifully. i imagine if this transmission was going to break like all the horror stories Ive heard it would have already happened.

all the electronics are on par and really my only questions right now are what else should i check out? the brakes feel good an as i said the tie rods and suspension emit Zero noises on the bumps, I didnt notice a timing belt change sticker but i imagine it must have been done after all this time (assuming the interval is the same 70K as my s70)

Hope to hear back, Thanks guys and gals.

Keep imagining... But if you really love your mother, don't buy her a T6, IMHO

I think its 10 years or 120K on this one, but not 100% sure, that's what it is on my 2.5T, but I'll probably do it around 100.
