August is Help a Moderator Month

Post by matthew1 »

You read that right! ALL donations in August will go to the moderation team. Traditionally, most of them turn the money down, so it becomes a nice bonanza for those ones who need it most. It's usually two or three who take it, I don't name them, and I double it with proceeds from ad revenue. Bang, pow, zoooom!

It helps with a) car repairs, b) rent/mortgage, c) tuition and d) paying down debt. Generally speaking.

So coming up in 22 days is your chance to say thank you in a monetary way to those who help the most. If they need it, they accept their share. If not, they refuse. That humbles me.

For those just tuning in, I, Matt, don't know a shadow of what my moderators know about Volvos. Bill knows older and newer, having been a POLICEMAN in England who DROVE POLICE VOLVOS on DUTY, Justin knows Gen 1 S/V70 like nobody else, and Ozark Lee and JD know, well, everything. The other mods are retired or semi-retired.

This is a great way to show the moderators that you truly care about all they do for the board. I feel like I know a thing or two about Volvos being I have owned 6 of them and these guys put me to shame. This is very much deserved.

Taxidad, oh that's you huh? Thanks again!

Lambo, I can't speak for the mods, but if you don't have much money, or have kids to feed PLEASE do not donate. Use your money on them. Me, my family, and our moderation team are not starving (at last check).

Everybody: I never identify anyone beyond first name or initials, or make associations between your MVS Forum username and your first/last/initials. If you want to, that's perfectly fine.
