ABS Service light and Brake Pedal Sensor
ABS Service light and Brake Pedal Sensor
Hello all, about 3 weeks ago had a check engine light on, read codes and came up brake pedal sensor gone bad. A few days later the ABS service now light came on. I read on here it might be the control box, took this off and sent it for repairs. I,ve just had the repairer confirm the module is ok. I am really confused as to what might have triggered the ABS service light, could it be the Brake pedal sensor? Some more information, 2000 Volvo s80, 129kmiles. I recently changed the front Brake pads. Any ideas or suggestions please.
Hello I had the same problem, the abs light was coming on every 2 or 3 days for months along with other faults so I took it to an independant volvo specialist who put it on a computer and found loads of codes stored on the car, one of them was the abs sensors on the hubs x3 but he told me this was because the pads and disks were changed and it shows a fault if the wiring is knocked or unplugged when work is carried out. He reset the codes for me then drove it for 15 mins and re-connected it to the computer and it was clear. (this was 2 weeks ago and I havn't had a problem since then) It only cost £40 for about 45 minutes so it was worth every penny.
