Well come to find out a couple days ago someone backed into my car in the parking lot. The dent is on the drivers side trunk next to the tail light. At first the trunk would not open. Now it will not close. The striker appears to be going down on the striker bar but not latching on. It does not matter if the trunk is unlocked, locked or if i Press firmly on the trunk to see if I can get it to latch. The lock mechanism seems to be working fine. But the striker is just not holding on to the bar.
Do I need a new striker? If so how much is one(cannot find online).
