Gas comes back up when pumping?

Please help!!!

When pumping gas in my 98 C70 it comes back up the tube which goes to the tank.

Today I took out what I thought was the cause which looked to be a rollover valve (valve which closes in case of a rollover). This did nothing to solve the problem. I went back to the gas station and tried it again, it did the same thing. When I started pumping gas, it would come back up the pipe, tube, or whatever you want to call it and spewed out past the pump handle.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
