remove wiper arms by lifting covers at base of arm and undoing the nuts. Lift arm and wiggle it and it will come off the shaft.
The vent slotted panel the wiper arm shafts pass though covers the wiper motor. If you look on both outboard ends at lower front edge you will see the bolts that have to be removed. Remove those and lift the forward edge and pull straight forward for panel to slip out. There are pins in the cowl and the panel sides have slots that go over the pins. You have to pull the panel forward to the point it almost hits the hood hinges for the pins to be cleared. Now you lift out panel and you will see the wiper motor on the frame. Remove as an assembly and the wiper motor will come off the frame and there is one nut to remove for the linkage arm to come off.
