850 rear glass near Detroit

I'm looking for rear glass for a '93 850 sedan. New glass seems ridiculously expensive. I know it is not an easily shipped salvage piece. So I was hoping to find someone near metro Detroit that is parting out an 850 sedan with rear glass, and it's electronics in tact, for pickup.
I'm a new owner resolving old issues, and am happy to find the forum.

I would like to update the original rear glass inquiry, to add the passenger side fog light fixture.
It is a 1993 850 sedan with the alter 1 style front clip/spoiler. So still looking for the back glass, for pickup, or if anyone would like to ship glass at reasonable fee. Please PM with details.

The new Parts Galore downriver has several 850's in the yard. I'm betting you can get the glass for under $30 bucks there and find most of the other odds and ends your looking for.

You will have to take it out yourself though.

I'm heading down there this weekend with a friend and some tools. Wish me luck.
I'm not really confident with removing glass myself, but I'll see what else they've got.

Oh, and I may have some questions for you about that pesky ABS light in my dash. It is a '93 850 so...?

So yes, I just got back. They were having a grand opening celebration type thing today with a radio broadcast and free hot dogs. I was'nt expecting all that, but there were five or six 850s that I was happy to get some goodies from. I should be able to get my glass from one of them as soon as I am sure of the method. I may just bring a glass guy with me on the next trip.

I don't know of anybody that can help you with the glass.

They do sell a type of wire just for removing glass. I've seen it done, but have never done it. You might want to google it.

I can't help you with your ABS issue, on your car you have to read the codes and that's basically going to tell you where the problem is.

Thanks for getting back. Yeah, I bought the cutting tool at Harbor Freight today but I'm going to have to get the kit with the wire as well tomorrow. They are already getting to know me at Parts Galore.
I figured I would have to check OBD for my year. I'm planning on making a day of it soon.

Thanks again Matty. I brought a friend with and we did the wire saw removal. It took about an hour but no glass breakage. We did break the wire three times from impatient ambition resulting in heat and smoke of the urethane.
$30. as you said in your original post. The lowest price I could find for new glass (un-installed) was $537.50 so it pays to do a little elbow work. I will have a professional glass shop remove my old glass and do the install. Hendersons quoted $80. labor and $25. for the urethane kit. Well worth it as we tore up the paint and trim on the donor car pretty good.
