Just to show my ignorance of the S60, I was looking under the bonnet (sorry - hood!) and noticed a small leak coming from a pipe going into the bulkhead. Basically, theres two hoses connecting onto two metal pipes that go through the bulkhead. My confusion is that these look like high pressure hoses, with large plastic (I assume it's plastic) connectors factory fixed to the end of the hoses. These connectors look like they push onto the metal pipes and snap into place. Now, at first glance, I assumed it was for the heater, but why would a heater need high pressure hoses? Also, I rule out the air con, as it has no charge, doesn't work, and I didn't even have the air con button switched on - however, as I know very littel of these cars yet, I just don't know. For info, I'm in the UK, so this is a RHD. Looking into the engine bay, these pipes are on the right hand side of the bulkhead. Thanks.
I think I'll be buying a workshop manual soon (do you guys have Haines workshop manuals over there?)
Leaking heater pipes - I think

Will take a picture in the morning, thanks. Been thinking about it a bit more, and maybe I did have the AC selected, but as it needs charging up, would it still leak fluid? Anyway, will post the pics, and go from there - thanks

The 2 horizontal hoses in the firewall/bulkhead are for heating, they look like high pressure hoses and have twist connectors. The AC lines are vertical and have a heat shield around them. They're next to the heater lines.

They are twist-lock type. Check for a bad O'ring.

Thanks guys - yup, that makes perfect sense, as I ran the car up this a.m., and they got hot etc. The wierd thing is, one connector goes onto the pipe about an inch further than the other - is this normal? I'm not sure I want to try and push it further on in case I break something - especially the way my luck is going this week. I guess, as it's a 'twist' connector, do I just literally twist one way, and pop it off - and re-fit more securely the same way?
Update - sorry, just looked at the PDF instructions you posted - makes a lot of sense now - thanks to all of you!

To remove you have to turn anti-clockwise and then pull off. You may have one partially engaged.
I checked in my Haynes book and i can't see O'rings on this side of pipes.

DGM, I think you must be right. On a side note, went to my local dealer today to buy a new thermostat, and while I was there, see if they had any O rings (this was before I read your post, and them prob no thaving rings). Anyway, they guy sweated for about five minutes, couldn't even find the hoses I was on about (nor even a diagram of any of the cooling system in that area), then just said -"Oh, can't find it - come back Monday" Well it was near closing time, and customers are just an inconvenience for making money, I guess! Would have expected more from a Volvo dealer - unfortunately, this is my only dealer for 50 miles, and was actually a main Ford dealer, that took on the Volvo franchise to expand, and whilst I like Ford cars, I've never found the parts or service any good (nor vauxhall, peugot, or Citroen for that matter) The only decent dealers I found here are Saab, Porsche and occasionally Jaguar. Annoyingly, if I had a BMW, Porsche, Merc, Saab or Jag, there's an embarresement of dealers - but not Volvo.
While I'm ranting about dealers, this particular Ford dealership has long been a thorn in my side. Bought a probe back in '95 - the first and ONLY time I'd ever buy a new car. Kept pulling to the right, and I went back three times to get it sorted, and every time, they said nothing wrong with the tracking. On my last visit, I was told "Because it's an American car, and deseigned to be driven on the opposite side of the road, the suspension geometry wasn't coping with driving on the opposite camber!" Eventually, of course, the front wheels scrubbed out - phoned Ford Europe- used lots of four letter words, and had four new tyres fitted, an apology, and suddenly, they found the tracking was out - main dealer = dickheads!!! Nice looking car, a bit plastic inside though - and a bit underpowered for the engine - i guess all that anti-emission crap Ford America likes to strangle it's cars with!!! Anyway, rant over!! thanks for listening.

Forgot to post an update - sorry!!!! Yeah, couldn't see a replaceable O ring on that pipe - just took it totally off, then re-fitted correctly - no more issues with leaks.
thanks for all the comments guys
