99 S80 hi beams
My 99 S80 hi beams do not stay one - and YES the light switch is in the ON position at 12 o'clock. The beams works but do not stay on. I've read all the posts about making sure the light switch is on, but mine still won't stay on. Can someone offer any insight? Thanks.

Do you by any chance have fog lights? If the fog lights are 'on', then the high beams won't go 'on'. Found this link to on line manual which confirms this. i.e. the flog lights only work if low beams are 'on'.

Thanks for the reply, but the fog lights are not on and still no high beams. The car has been like this since I bought it in 2003 and original owner told me he never got them to work either. Never bugged me but now after all this time I failed Virginia safety inspection because of it. Go figure.
If someone could tell me where the hi beam relay is, I'd like to replace it. Thanks.

Are you pulling the level in towards you? You must push the level away from you to lock them on.
