Hello brother Volvoists, my problem with my beloved S80 started last saturday after I had the car washed and detailed,as I leave ,I noticed that the radio stopped playing and the message on the left side tells me"SRS airbag service urgent with the amber triangle lit up .As I go to use the turn signal ,it did not work,tried the other side with same result.
Upon arrival to my home I quickly checked the fuses in car and found #7 fuse which is a 5A fuse blown.I replaced the fuse and everything seemed ok. As I go for a test ride fuse blows out as I pull out of driveway.
Today,Saturday,I decide to go to local Volvo dealer and they hook up their computer and retrieve code OODO and OOD1.Upon asking mechanic what they are,he explained that they are codes for front passenger and driver saet belt sensors.
My question to anyone reading this is : How can I check these sensors to actually verify that they are faulty.
If anyone has had this experience PLEASE let me know !!! Thank You all for your time.
