Volvo exhaust

Post by DawnK31 »

Hi Everyone,

One of the exhaust hangers broke off on my 2000 S70. I know that that I can buy a new one at the auto parts store but I am hoping someone has a link to a diagram or photo of where they are located. It's clearly right in the back because the exhaust pipe dropped a couple of inches out of the indent on the bumper.

Thanks a bunch,
DW

There is a hanger just behind the rear bumper. It's usually a round rod that's bent around the underside of the tailpipe and either end of it hook into a rubber strap. If what broke was welded onto the tailpipe, you might want to take it to a muffler shop like Meinke and just have them reweld what's left of the one that broke.
