Rear O2 sensor code

Post by dosbricks »

A while back I got a PO422 (cat effiency) code on my wagon
Heeding the good advice of others on the boards, I waited until it set a code a couple more times. The second and third time it was PO137 (rear O2 sensor). :) I replaced it today and found my former indy had wired in the universal type rather than the OEM one I paid him $175 to get. Probably the cause of the premature failure.

So if you get a 422 wait it out because a faulty rear sensor can kick it. Also, better to get the OEM sensor with the wiring harness.
