Different oil pan part numbers - can I still use?

Post by 97Volvo850GLT »

Oil pan replacement (see my other thread also for pics: Cracked my oil pan)

The part no. on my damaged oil pan is 1271604 (97 850 turbo) but on the replacement one I got from the 96 850, it is 9146845. It looks like it should fit but the pieces inside look different. The clean one below is the replacement.

Can I still use it?
