2000 Volvo S80 T6 Heater Core/Steering Column

Alright everyone need some help here as my working quarters are limited by day light etc...


I have a 2000 Volvo S80 T6 needing the heater core replaced. I have the core 90% out but stopped by the steering column.

1. Can I just remove the 4 bolts holding the column to the chassis and just set the column down and to the left towards the driver door to be able to get the core out or do I have to truly disassemble the entire column?

2. If no on question 1 does anyone have a detailed writeup on removing the column and not the vadis instructions, as I have several versions of those and have the software myself and even with VIN inputed did not tell me to remove steering column.

Any help would be greatful to get the wifes car back on the road.
