There are two great Volvo shops in Bellingham, Wa. One is for if you like your cars perfect, and other is if your budget means that you need to be more realistic on what can wait.

1st: Bruce Cox Volvo Subaru. They are an independent dealer that sell high quality used cars. Usually only a few years old. They are very knowledgable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They also have free bulb replacement if you buy the car there, which is a nice perk. I bought my V70XC from them.

2nd: Rainbow Automotive. Larry is a bit of a legend in the area. He's a unique guy who really knows his older Volvo's. He also buy wrecked cars and salvages good parts of off them. I needed a few body panels for my '93 850, and he had one in his yard. I've gotten several parts off that car now. They are very realistic about what you can let go and what is urgent. All the guys there are very knowledgable. I can always trust Rainbow Larry. Tell him Ben Sebens sent you.
