My new Gearwrench brand 21mm wrench broke on first use

Post by matthew1 »

First use. Really. My Volvo Repair Database post about this Gearwrench 21mm ratcheting wrench hadn't even scrolled off the MVS Home page when it broke 5 days ago.

No, the inner gear won't pop back in -- at least I haven't tried my table vise yet, just a rubber hammer on cement.

I was tightening the strut mount nut from under the hood. I have an OMP strut brace that caused the motion of the wrench to move up as I was turning, but that's no reason for any wrench to break.

Damn I've smacked mine with hammers and doubled them up and they still work! I'm a professional technician so they get a lot of use! They have lifetime warrantee gets new one!
