V70 engine swap

V70 engine swap

I have a 1999 V70 2.5t with a valve problem can any tell me if it is possible to put a 2002 T5 motor in and what do I have to do such as ecu does that need changing and also I have a auto AW50-42 do I need to change the transmission ecu as well or can I just fit a long motor with turbo in to the car with out much mods. Thanks if I have to repair I may as well up grade the motor.

The t5 engine will work but you may be disappointed with the performance. The network on the car will prevent you from swappping ECM from a t5 car into that one to get the full potential of the t5 engine.
