Code scanner for S40

I read some threads on this forum that some code scanners won't read codes on S40 vehicles. I bought a code scanner that works on my '01 S40 1.9T. It's a "Actron CP9550 Pocket Scan Plus CAN Diagnostic Code Reader for OBDII Vehicles". I ordered it from Amazon for $69.95.
