XC60 GPS/NAV unlock code?

Good morning,
This is my first post and I appreciate you taking the time to read it.

I have a 2011 Volvo XC60 with the SENSUS nav system. I have imported the car to Switzerland where I've asked a local dealer to load the maps for Europe so I can use the system. After many attempts, they've come back to me and said the maps are loaded, but that he needs an 8 digit key to unlock the GPS so that it will begin working. I contacted my original Texas dealer who provided a key based on the VIN, but the Swiss dealer says it doesn't work. I'll certainly call TX again, but am wondering if anyone has any experience with this issue?
