V70 rear wiper sprayer repair?

Post by skjmank »

I searched the site and couldn't find this so I wanted to ask about it.

I have a V70 (wagon) and my rear sprayer does not work. My rear wiper works fine and my front windshield sprayer works fine.

How do I troubleshoot this issue?

Is there a different motor for the rear sprayer? Do I have to track the hose through the car to find a problem? I don't even know the path of the hose. Can I troubleshoot the nozzle somehow? Any diagrams would be most helpful.

Thanks!
2000, V70 Wagon, 307k+, 2.4 liter, awesome.

My 850 wagon had a similar issue... turned out to be the one-way valve for the washer fluid. On my car, it was behind the passenger side d-pillar (pillar by the hatch) trim, behind the speaker.

Had the same problem with my '98 V70. There are two pumps, one for front windshield and one for rear. Both are located under the passenger-side (right-hand) wheel well liner. Before you go there, be sure that it is the pump. Rule out stopped-up
nozzle, blocked hose, etc. You can hear the pump if it's working and then proceed from there.
Good luck.
