Since summer seems to have arrived early this year and my a/c seems to have forgotten it's task, can someone please tell me where the low pressure port is on a 1999 V70XC? I believe the high pressure port is the one conveniently located near the top, front passenger side by the accessory belt, correct?
What are the low side upper pressure limits?
Thank you!

The LP port is "conveniently" located underneath the Power Steering Fluid Reservoir.
Pressures:
With the engine at high idle, the low side should be 22-30 PSI (1.5-2.0) Bar and high side 150-180 PSI (10-12 Bar) at ambient air temp no higher than 85F (30 Celsius).
When it is opearating normally, the compressor may cycle On/Off due to CCM taking over with respect to evap temp probe signal, which should be fine.
Hope this helps

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.

The low-side pressures are listed on the back of most cans of R-134a based on the ambient outside temperatures. I always stick to the low range of the pressures shown there, and make sure to hold the idle up at about 1500 RPM while charging it up. The compressor cuts out at 25 psi, so it should definitely be above that.
