Volvo s80 2007 head unit fail

Hello Volvo owners!

First of all I am really happy I found this great community for Volvo owners.

I have been the lucky guy to drive the S80 model, 2007 year since July 2011.

This evening I wanted to listen to some music, but the central display of the board computer doesn't want to turn on. I push the volume button, but it shows only the picture with VOLVO SOUND and display goes dark.

Rest of electronics works as they should, heating, AC, parctronic work properly.

Anybody have ideas about that ?

Any argumented idea is accepted.

Are all the fuses good? I don't know how the 2007 is set up but you should have a couple, for constant power and to drive the amp

Maybe try pulling the power cord(s?) out of the back of the head for 5mins - its possible there's just some corrupted memory in the unit. I had a pioneer head that I had to do this to every so often

you might be able to do it by pulling all the fuses for 5min too
