850 keyless entry

Okay, so when I bought my 93 850, the seller did not give me any key fobs. I believe my vehicle is equipped with keyless because it does have an alarm. Is this correct?
I bought a remote and tried to program it by
-sitting in the car with all doors closed
-turning the key from off to on five times and leaving it on, on the 5th time
-then pressing a button on the key fob

Well that didn't work
can someone tell me
1)does my vehicle have keyless
2)am I missing a step in programming or did I buy the wrong remote, could someone tell me what fcc id they have on there remote that works?

Volvo used more than one remote . You need to to know which p/n you need

I have heard volvo only used two types of remotes with the 850, is this correct.
Also I read when programming your remote, after you turn the key on and off five times the led on the dash should be solid red. Mine does not do this, but the led does work.
