Got back my car from dealer today. (ETM bad) Service manager says I need the newest soft-ware upgrades for the transmission and other components. Car is still under warranty, however he says I need to purchase these "needed" upgrades. What are they, what do they do, and if they are an upgrade, why are they not covered under warranty. thanks

software upgrade that the dealer can't privide? or he wants money for them? i would be interesting in what the difference is i have an IPC/TWE ECU upgrade. i hope they're not mutualty exlusive!
2001 S80 T6 272 base HP engine / IPD ECU / F&B IPD antisway bars / Bilsteins / Ferrita downpipes and cat back exhaust (on the way!)
