'96 850 - Antenna not working

Hi All,

My 850 antenna in the rear (driver side) window is not working to well. My AM radio sound signals come in very weak and the FM signal are marginal.

I am thinking about pulling out the Radio to validate the antenna is hooked up in the back of the radio.

Are there any fixes for the Window radio antennas or ways to improve their performance.

There is an antenna amplifier right below the window under the carpeted panel. I had to replace mine in my last wagon.

Check the traces in the window to be sure none are broken. I have not seem the 850 but there should be two points for connecting to the Window antenna. Take a long wire and attached to each end in a loop and see if the reception improves and if it does check for broken traces before checking the Amplifier.

Update -
Picked up used amp. off Ebay and installed. AM and FM radio signals are now working as designed.
