abs warning light

Hi I am new to this site and a recent owner of a volvo S80 D5 auto when I start the car the abs light is on it goes out after a couple of hundred yards then after another couple of hundred yards comes back on at the same time the car loses power for a few seconds then drives normally with the abs light on it also shows a message abs temporaly off and full guard can anyone help? :oops:
