After 25 years I've never had a major problem with this car (exept for a speeding ticket)Recently the air con started to work intermitantly.Knowing that there were no leaks I decided to recharge the system,every thing went ok,but the issue still existed.So, as the pressure was ok and the clutch and drive belt etc; checked out, the only thing it could be was that the pressure switch was at fault. I had a spare switch,but replacement would mean the loss of all gas,so I decided to save it till the next re-gas.The pressure switch is adjusable and a 1/4 turn anti-clockwise solved the problem.If you do this adjustment, do NOT back off too far,just enough to kick the clutch in,this is because you do not want the clutch to engage on too low a pressure.
