Hi. I have a problem in my 1998 Volvo s70 t5. I was getting a misfire and I think it was the 1st and 4th cylinder. I researched about the problem on MVS and other sites and a lot of people mentioned that the vacuum hoses may have some problem. I was checking the engine out and near the MAF sensor there were 2 vacuum hoses. I wasn't sure which one goes where but anyway's the white tube was connected on top and the black tube at the bottom. (Please forgive my inexperience from this point on as I am no mechanic.) I took the white one out and put it where the black on was and the black one where the white was. I know that was the most stupid thing I could do but anyways I drove the car for a while and after about 5 minutes I noticed that the turbo was not giving any boost whatsoever. I reconnected both hoses as they were before but the turbo is still not giving any boost. What is the problem and what should I do. What is up with the turbo now?
In case I am unclear you can tell me and I will try to explain more clearly.
Misfire + no turbo boost.

I think this is how it goes?
Click "View this part on the vehicle diagram"
Purple hard Vacuum Line is Number 10 on the diagram for
Volvo Air Pump Check Valve

Black Hard Vaccum Line is from the PTC routed to the Intake Manifold (passenger) right side of the Vehicle. It is sort of hidden on the side.
The White Hard Vaccum Hose goes from the side of the Air Intake Tube to the Turbo (not sure what that is called).

Sorry, someone else more experienced with Turbos will need to help. My first Turbo car since Jan this year and have not had to diagnosis (learn) or repair any driveability issues with it.SHAKAMAMBUTU89 wrote:Okay and what about the turbo? why isn't it giving any boost?

UPDATE Volvo S70 T5:
So i pulled out all the old vacuum lines and put new ones and the car is working fine and the turbo is working 100 percent but like before there is still a misfire in cylinder two. The code is P0102. The misfire is causing the engine to vibrate more than usual and there is still a abnormal bubbly sound when the car is idling. We changed spark plugs, wires and distributor cap but the car is still sound's the same. I was wondering if it could be that the timing belt slipped a few teeth or something. Please help me. Thanks.

Doubt it's the timing belt.
Run a compression test. You may have a burnt valve

Okay, I will do that. Can I get the compression test done at any normal Garage and what is the average cost of it?
