Hi,

I just bought a '92 240 with 162K on the clock. Mine starts ticking a little worse after warmup. I figured it was tappet noise. I put fresh 10W-30 oil and a filter in it. The tick is a little softer, but it's still there.

Will it cause damage to the lifter / camshaft if I delay in getting it adjusted?
