Heater Core / A/C Evaporator '86 740 GLE Wagon

Post by Richard L »

I have a heater core leak and am contemplating changing the hearer core. I also have a leak somewhere in my A/C as it needed to be recharged last spring (however I did not recharge it). Should I consider changing the A/C evaporator while I have everything apart? Is there anything else in there that I should fix while I have it apart?

NO, unless you know for sure the evaporator is leaking. Replacing the heater core does not require to remove AC evaporator casing.
