'93 240 - engine cranks but no start

Hi,

I have a '93 240 that is giving me troubles.

When I turn the key the engine cranks like it wants to start but doesn't. After a few attempts the engine will start to shake while it's cranking. The last time something similar happened a shop said it was a vacuum problem and fixed the issue. The car ran great for a while but began starting hard again, and eventually not starting. I'm guessing it's a similar problem but am not familiar with the vacuum stuff. Can someone point me in the right direction?

My other thought is it's a mis-fire problem.
